Title:Stripping Voltammetry: A tool to detect Heavy metals
Date & Time: Thursday 11th January, 2018 at 4.00 PM
Venue: SSCU AUDITORIUM
Abstract:
Heavy metals are an increasing threat to living beings. The detection of them have been a concern especially In situ measurements. There are many techniques available but have their limitations. Stripping voltammetry, a electrochemical method is found to be a sensitive and specific technique for the detection of Heavy Metals in nM concentrations.

This talk will give an overview of the stripping analysis, specific interferences that arise in the detection step will be explained, taking arsenic as an example.
