Nano and molecular machines
Date & Time: Thursday 4th October, 2018 at 4.00 PM
Venue: SSCU AUDITORIUM
Miniaturization is an integral part of technological advancement. The ever increasing demand for smaller and efficient components for electronic and mechanical devices calls for machines that operate on the nano and microscale regimes. These nano and molecular machines however cannot be considered as scaled down versions of conventional machines. Owing to their small size, these machines run into unprecedented challenges in their fabrication and operation. This talk will briefly cover all the challenges involved in their syntheses and operations.
