SEMINAR
Speaker: Mr. Jibin J Samuel

Title
Neuromorphic computing – An overview
Date & Time: Thursday 16th November, 2017 at 4.00 PM
Venue: SSCU AUDITORIUM
Abstract:
Many computational tasks performed by our brains that seem trivial
– recognizing faces for example, turn out to be extremely complex when
represented as computer program. This has led researchers to look to
neuroscience for inspiration to build machines that can learn and perform
computations like the brain and are phenomenally better than conventional
computers at certain tasks. This talk will give an overview on artificial
neural networks, their implementation in hardware and their applications.
The talk is organized like a tutorial to give the audience a good grasp of
the basic concepts of neural networks.
